First of all this is my first theory or technique page and will expand on it in the future as need see fit. In no way am i saying that this is the only way to learn these techniques and theory this is my representation of how I learned said theory's and techniques.

-Dropped D-
Dropped D is just the Low E tuned to a full step lower.
Ways the achieve Dropped D without a tuner would be this. [Note if you have a tuner just use it.]
e--------------------------
b--------------------------
g--------------------------
D-------------------------
A---0----0----0----0-----
E---7----7----7----7----- then down tune the low E till it sounds like you are playing the same note. Represented in the next tab like this [7]
e-------------------------
b-------------------------
g-------------------------
D-------------------------
A-------0-----0------0---
D---[7]0--[7]0---[7]0-- now you should now be in Dropped D

-"Tri Tone"-
The tri-tone is really just an off sounding power chord.
Standard tunning and standard power chord
e---------------------------------------
b---------------------------------------
g---------------------------------------
D--3-----3-----3-----3----------------
A--3-----3-----3-----3----------------
E--1-----1-----1-----1----------------
Now same tunning "tri-tone" power chord
e--------------------------
b--------------------------
g--------------------------
D--3-----3-----3-----3---
A--2-----2-----2-----2---
E--1-----1-----1-----1---
How ever the same exact concept dose not ring true with dropped tunning so here is the idea for Tri-Tone in dropped D
Drop D same sounding power chord but in its dropped counter part
e--------------------------
b--------------------------
g--------------------------
D--3-----3-----3-----3---
A--3-----3-----3-----3---
D--3-----3-----3-----3---
Drop D tri-Tone would look something like this
e--------------------------
b--------------------------
g--------------------------
D--3-----3-----3-----3---
A--2-----2-----2-----2---
D--3-----3-----3-----3---

-Fade ins and outs-
Simple idea.
_Fade out_ Start off with your volume up then strum a note and with the picking hand slowly turn the volume off.......same is true for fade ins fret the note with volume off then turn the volume up to the level you want.
Admittedly that was a weak lesson but it can be applied to almost anything you want.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Neck Bends-
Notably this is a bad idea cause it can screw with your guitar indefinitely but if you want a slight Vibrato sound then its a usefully trick. Mainly for those with Tom or Wraparound and Fixed bridges.
Play a note now gently bend the neck toward or away from you to get the desired effect.

That is all for now I'm tired and I'm going to bed. Peace out.
