A guitar i've planned is going to have 3 big inlays on it, all different, but revolving around the same theme-water. One on the back, one on the fb, and on on the headstock. Might also be some in other areas, not sure yet. Regardless, Here's the layout of the fb. The first one is everything, including the border and inside section that will be inlayed. Second one is just the animals/plants/scenery so you can see it a bit clearer. As you can tell there just outlines so far, no detail, etc. Expect a lot of engraving on this after It's all been inlayed. Mockup:

I think so too. There's still gonna be a massive "mural" on the back as well, so it should be fun. I honestly think the hardest part of this whole inlay will be finding the right material for each little piece. Still trying to figure out what to do some of the fish in, i really need a cool orange...

DAMN! Are you sure about that?, Bobby. That looks extremely complicated. You must have alot of patience.

DAMN! Are you sure about that?, Bobby. That looks extremely complicated. You must have alot of patience. Yup, I'm sure. Each year I'm going to do one build, with a lot of inlaying to it. This year, this will be the guitar I'm doing. I still have to finish the headstock, and the back of the guitar, and a couple other odds and ends, but should be fun. Giving myself a whole year for it I do have one more real big inlay i want to do this year, just a fretboard though.
