Hey mike, what do you say we schedule group chats? Kinda lame, but at least we know when we'll have some people on? I'll be on at 8ish tonight Also, that group idea sounds good, but is that within the rules? Mike, jim help?

Are you talking about making a UG group? Pointless...
We have a GB&C Ballroom group that got made not so long ago, and no one uses it.

Eh if you've made it here and are actually in the know about simple guitar building theriory and concepts of broken guitars. Then hell your concidered one of the rest of the guys around here.......I on the other hand am only a master of one thing "Ducted tape Guitar rigging" Or what i'm gonna say are temp fixes like before a show and someone breaks their guitar I have my gig bag full of tools to fix the problem.......Okay i'm a Singer/Tech in other words. We are all her to learn and this may sound Blastphmous but .........Even Jim learns from us..........(Due to regretable situations out of his hands Unherolike was banned for a mutinous act against Jim in his own forum)........Hell I hope not.

I'm not much of a builder. I'm more of a modder. I mod every guitar I get. Some more than others.

whats wrong with them?

Post by unherolike on Jun 5, 2009 20:44:39 GMT -5
Well the 12 is fine but the 11th and 10 are way to low so I'm pulling them sanding down the board and then putting them back in their slots/ Reglueing them.

Post by Invader Jim on Jun 7, 2009 2:32:16 GMT -5
^Why not just fill the slots with a rosewood strip and resaw the slot?

I gots no other wood. And I wanted to repaint the board anyways so I'm killing 2 birds with one stone.

Repainting the rosewood board? Seems kinda unnecessary to me.

Wait who said it has a rosewood board its a low end Johnson and the board is made of Ply......it has no figure to it..........No rosewood is in this guitar.....its just a cheap guitar getting a cheap paint job.

Post by Invader Jim on Jun 7, 2009 23:18:30 GMT -5
I doubt it's ply.

Then its a laminate of some sort caus it had a paper thin layer or top wood on the board.......i acidently sanded trought said layer and it was grain running horizontal to the layer above.
